The Himalayan town of Rishikesh in Uttarakhand is a treasure trove of adventure. Camping in Rishikesh is a truly delightful experience for visitors. The majority of these campsites are on the Rishikesh-Devprayag Road. A number of travel agencies operate in the area, offering budget camping tours to Rishikesh. Rishikesh, like the rest of Uttarakhand, is endowed with a natural bounty. While camping here, you can enjoy spectacular mountain views, relax on the sandy beaches, and participate in other recreational activities such as beach volleyball, nature walks, moderate trekking, rock climbing, rappeling, and so on.
Travelers can also enjoy bonfires, barbecue dinners, singing, dancing, and other activities at Rishikesh campsites. If you travel with a group of 8–10 people or more, you can also enjoy benefits such as a pre-planned menu. All of the tents at the campsite are outfitted with twin beds, mattresses, natural toilets, lanterns, and other amenities. There are no medical facilities or electricity in the camps. Doctors, on the other hand, can be available on call.
Rishikesh is a rafting enthusiast’s dream. The town in the Himalayan foothills is popular among both locals and foreign tourists. Tourists and adventure seekers flock to the town for a one-of-a-kind river rafting experience along the Ganges. Whether you’re an amateur or a pro, the Ganges at Rishikesh has excellent stretches and rapids for everyone. The stretch from Kaudiyala to Rishikesh, in particular, is very popular with adventure seekers. The stretch is 36 kilometers long and features a variety of rapids rated from I to V. Initiation, Double Trouble, Hilton, Return to Sender, Roller Coaster, and Terminator are some of the most popular rapids along the Ganges in Rishikesh. Rafting from Shivpuri to Rishikesh is another great way to enjoy Ganga river rafting.
Rishikesh white water rafting, or river rafting, is unique in its own right. You pass many temples, ashrams, and ghats as you float down the Ganges.
You also get to see life on the banks of the Ganga. You can combine rafting with other activities, such as body surfing and cliff jumping, to make an adventure holiday in Rishikesh. Visitors do not need to worry about anything related to the sport because tour guides and river rafting experts are always on hand to help.
When you book your rafting trip, you will receive: all-class rafting equipment (rafts, life jackets, helmets, paddles, dry bags, and throw bags) from experienced river guides approved by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board. Rafting participants should always follow the instructions of the guide.
